Natural philosophers...

I was thinking yesterday a few hours after my Encounters in Philosophy class. I had a rather interesting observation develop in my mind. This is that children are born philosophers... Think about it. Soon after they learn how to talk, they are constantly asking, "Why?", "How come?", "What's that?". They (sometimes rather) quickly lose that trait, as adults and older people tell them to hush, or 'not now'. Fast forward those same children fifteen or so years, and guess what? Philosophy class is a required course, and they have to learn what came so naturally.

Why do so many people get annoyed by children asking questions? I have seen the irritation over and over again during my years of retail.

and now, my brother came home unexpectedly, and I have lost my train of thought. grrrrrrrrrrrr..... Ah well, I suppose this entry doesn't make much sense anyway...

...for the past month. so much to write about, lammasfest/my birthday/marsha being such a sweetie and making me a birthday dinner & coloring my hair/school starting again.... AND my excitement of getting to see Jeff in less then a week! YEAH! but not tonight, tonight i need to sleep, for I need to be at work at seven in the morning and its almost 11:30...........

I heard my first presidentail campaign commercial...

for the 2008 election which was for Rudy Giuliani. I swear, this time I am actually going to make an effort to research the candidates for the ones that I think would succeed in the white house. Thank god Bush cannot serve another term!!!!!

Seriously, we can get all in a tizzy and start the impeachment process if a president receives a hummer on the side, but we can't do the same thing to a president who swears up and down that God told him he wanted him to be president, and starts wars with other countries? He's killed so many of our own troops, lied about weapons of mass destruction that were never found, and so many other things. Why hasn't anyone taken aim at him yet? Kennedy was assassinated for no good reason, and John Lennon took bullets to the back for being who he was... Ah well, only 513 days, 3 hours, 13 minutes, and 53 seconds to go until he is out of the white house. Can we survive?

Anyway, I looked up Giuliani's 12 point plan, because I wasn't able to hear the whole commercial. (Besides, can a 30-60 second commercial really cover all the important parts?
Here they are:

• I will keep America on offense in the Terrorists' War on us
• I will end illegal immigration, secure our borders, and identify every non-citizen in our nation.
• I will restore fiscal discipline and cut wasteful Washington spending.
• I will cut taxes and reform the tax code.
• I will impose accountability on Washington.
• I will lead America towards energy independence.
• I will give Americans more control over and access to health care with affordable and portable free-market solutions.
• I will increase adoptions, decrease abortions, and protect the quality of life for our children.
• I will reform the legal system and appoint strict constructionist judges.
• I will ensure that every community in America is prepared for terrorist attacks and natural disasters.
• I will provide access to a quality education to every child in America by giving real school choice to parents.
• I will expand America's involvement in the global economy and strengthen our reputation around the world.

Hmm.... sounds good to me, but remember dear reader, every candidate (if they are smart) will declare promises of what we want to hear. He said in the commercial that I heard, that he put these commitments into action while mayor of New York City. It has been far to long since I have blogged anything, so I shall get back into the groove of it again. and why not? I felt better when I was blogging all of my thoughts (well not all, people may claim me to be clinically insane and lock me up) and starting fresh each morning with a de-stressed mind...
